Castle Bromwich Singers Celebrate 50 Years

Castle Bromwich Singers started in 1967 and their first show at Arden Hall was in November 1970. “A Variety Concert”, featuring John Leedham on xylophone was their first oerformance. £90.00 was raised for the Leukaemia Research Fund and the programme, in old money, was 1/- (one shilling).

Supporting Charities

In the first 20 years Singers gave over £8000 to charities which included Castle Bromwich Parish Church Roof Fund. By the time 40 years had gone by (2007) the total given to charities exceeded £46000. This year’s charity is John Taylor Hospice.

Castle Bromwich Singers Celebration Concert

To celebrate 50years they are putting on a special concert at Highbury Theatre, Sutton Coldfield. For all details please see the poster below.
Castle Bromwich Singers would like to thank the Baptist Church at Timberley Lane for their continued support as they have been rehearsing there (still on Tuesdays) for over 40 years.
