Change of Bus Route – Service 70
SERVICE 70 NEW ROUTE
From Monday 21 July there will be a change of bus route and the number 70 service will serve the new Chelmund’s Cross Village Centre.
From Monday 21 July, bus service numbers 70 (formerly the number 90) to Coleshill, Chelmsley Wood, Marston Green and Solihull and 59A will no longer run along the entire length of Chelmsley Road.
The service will now serve Chelmund’s Cross Village Centre via Yorkminster Drive, Dunster Road and Carisbrooke Avenue
The 70 will follow its usual route from Birmingham to Coleshill Heath Road. From Coleshill Heath Road it will turn right into Chelmsley Road and will continue until Carisbrooke Avenue. It will turn right into Carisbrooke Avenue, serve the Chelmund’s Cross Village Centre before turning right into Craig Croft. It will then turn left into Dunster Road and will continue on its usual route to Chelmsley Wood/Solihull.
As part of the development there will be two new stops (one on each side of the road) within the Chelmund’s Cross Village Centre.
The part of Dunster Road between Chelmsley Road and Craig Croft will not be served by the 70.
