Hodge Hill Brownies pop up

Castle Bromwich bellringers were pleased to welcome Brownies from Hodge Hill. Their normal pack meeting takes place in St Wildfred’s church hall  – but this was a meeting with a difference. It took place in the bell ringing chamber of St Mary & St Margaret’s church. Here the girls all tried their hand at ringing a bell, before climbing to the top of the church tower. Here there was a splendid view to be had across the city. the girls could even see St Wilfred’s church.

The bellringers were delighted receive donations from the Brownies for the Bell Restoration Fund. The ringers are trying to raise £100,000  to restore the old bells. For more details see the Castle Bromwich Bell Ringers website.
