Kingshurst Residents Given “Seeds of Hope”

Councillor Debbie Evans told us:

“On Christmas Day I joined over 60 people for Christmas lunch at Seeds of Hope, a community project based in the heart of Kingshurst.

The five course lunch was cooked by and served by Jean Johnson and her team of volunteers. It was supported by a donation from J.L.R. It was like sitting down with an extended family, and if you live on your own like me it’s the perfect place to be.

The volunteers truly demonstrate the meaning of Christmas by giving up their Christmas to ensure everyone has a good time. Thank you isn’t enough.

Jean’s volunteers or dream team don’t only put on a meal Christmas Day but also put a meal on, on the first Friday of every month for a small cost.

Seeds of Hope is home to whole host of groups and caters for the noughts to the over nineties.

To volunteer to be one of Jeans Dream Team then contact Jean on 0121-788-3399 or 07903018591.

Want to know what activities the google Seeds of Hope, Kingshurst or ring Jean on the above numbers.”
