Young people across Solihull are invited to find out more about apprenticeships as the popular Apprenticeship Show returns.

The sixth annual show takes place on Thursday 30 March between 3.00pm and 7.30pm at the Christian Renewal Centre, Lode Lane.

Attendees will have the chance to take part in Spotlight sessions highlighting the benefits of apprenticeships, meet employers and training providers, hear from apprentices and find out about current and upcoming traineeship and apprenticeship vacancies.

There are jobs available in a wide range of sectors including: automotive, childcare, construction, engineering, hairdressing, healthcare, hospitality & catering and theatre.

Employers attending the Apprenticeship Show include Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, Graham Facilities Management, Balfour Beatty, RSM, the Royal Shakespeare Company and Specsavers amongst many others.

Apprenticeships give people the opportunity to earn while they learn, with a combination of studying and on the job learning.

Hereward College and Solihull College will also be on hand to talk about Supported Internships which are launching in September 2017.  Supported Internships are structured study programmes based primarily with an employer, and aimed at 18-25 year olds with a current Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

“For anyone unsure of what the future holds there will be great advice and information on offer throughout the event.

“Thank you to all the employers and agencies who support this annual event.”
