Will the Church Tower Fall Down?
Structural engineer Adrian Dempster paid a visit to St Mary & St Margaret’s church at the request of the bellringers to check whether the proposed restoration scheme would be safe to install. The plan is to remove the old and worn wooden frame and replace it with a modern purpose-built metal one. Two more bells would be added. It has to be assessed whether the new arrangement would cause any problems to the 300-year-old tower at Castle Bromwich.
So will Castle Bromwich Church Tower Fall Down? We don’t think so!
